Job summary

Eastern Propane is seeking a seasonal delivery driver to ensure the safe delivery of liquid products to customers and to keep delivery vehicles clean while assisting with related projects and providing excellent service to customers and coworkers. The role involves operating a commercial vehicle, loading/unloading, using mobile devices to manage workflow, and adhering to DOT/SOP requirements.

Safety meetings and ongoing training are part of the duties, including system checks and tank monitor

Qualifications

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in all weather conditions and times.
• Load and unload liquid fuel safely, including up to 150 feet of delivery hose.
• Utilize web-based platforms on tablet, smartphone, laptop, and desktop to manage workflow and record data.
• Maintain licensure, comply with DOT and SOP requirements, and follow regulatory standards.
• Remain alert and complete work safely.
• Participate in safety meetings and training; model safety-conscious practices.
• Perform system checks, including leak checks, per SOPs.
• Install and maintain tank monitors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this opportunity

This seasonal position is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of liquid products to our customers on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of company delivery vehicles, assisting with delivery-related projects, and providing a high level of service to customers and coworkers.

The anticipated pay range for this seasonal position is $20,000 to $60,000.

What your role will look like

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in every weather condition and at any time, day or night.
• Load and unload liquid fuel products safely from vehicle, which includes pulling up to 150 feet of delivery hose.
• Utilize web-based platforms on tablet, smart phone, laptop, and desktop to manage workflow and record data.
• Support Eastern’s policies and procedures, including by maintaining required licensure, meeting state, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements, and complying with all applicable regulatory standards.
• Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices.
• Perform system checks, including leak checks, in accordance with Eastern’s SOPs and restart system appliances.
• Install and maintain tank monitors, periodically and as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
