Job summary

Eastern Propane is hiring a seasonal delivery driver to ensure safe delivery of liquid products to customers daily. You will help keep delivery vehicles clean, assist with related projects, and provide high-quality service to customers and colleagues.

The role involves operating a commercial motor vehicle, loading/unloading liquid fuels, and using mobile and desktop devices to document workflow. Safety training and adherence to DOT/SOPs are required.

Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement is a plus, not required.
• Experience operating commercial motor vehicles.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in all weather and times.
• Load/unload safely, including up to 150 feet of delivery hose.
• Use web-based platforms on tablet, phone, laptop, and desktop to manage workflow and data.
• Maintain required licensure and comply with DOT and SOP requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings and trainings and report unsafe actions.
• Perform system checks and restart appliances as needed.
• Install and maintain tank monitors.
• Other duties as assigned.

About this opportunity

This seasonal position is responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of liquid products to our customers on a daily basis. This position is also responsible for the cleanliness of company delivery vehicles, assisting with delivery-related projects, and providing a high level of service to customers and coworkers.

The anticipated pay range for this seasonal position is $20,000 to $60,000.

What your role will look like

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in every weather condition and at any time, day or night.
• Load and unload liquid fuel products safely from vehicle, which includes pulling up to 150 feet of delivery hose.
• Utilize web-based platforms on tablet, smart phone, laptop, and desktop to manage workflow and record data.
• Support Eastern’s policies and procedures, including by maintaining required licensure, meeting state, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) requirements, and complying with all applicable regulatory standards.
• Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices.
• Perform system checks, including leak checks, in accordance with Eastern’s SOPs and restart system appliances.
• Install and maintain tank monitors, periodically and as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
