Job summary

Townsend Energy in MA/NH is seeking an Oil Delivery Driver for a seasonal role (November through April). The position includes loading and unloading fuel, delivering to addresses on a set schedule, and following DOT safety standards.

CDL B or higher, HAZMAT/Air Brake endorsements preferred; must pass background and drug tests. We offer comprehensive benefits (medical, vision, dental, 401k with company match), paid holidays, vacation, uniforms and a company-provided tablet.

Qualifications

• 1 year of oil delivery experience
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Valid CDL (minimum B)
• Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
• CDL A & B preferred
• Pass DOT physical and other requirements
• Ability to drive safely and courteously
• Proficiency with navigation tools (GPS, apps) and maps
• Basic data entry on a tablet
• Maintain logs and records
• High school diploma or equivalent

Pay Rate:

$30.00 to $35.00 + per hour, depending on experience + bonus pay

Hours:

Day Shift, 8-hour workday; flexible start time

Schedule:

Full time, with on-call rotation | Occasional Saturday's

What You Will be Doing:

• Loading and unloading fuel truck for delivery
• Making fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Interacting with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
• Conduct pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment

What We Are Looking For:

• 1 year of oil delivery experience
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Valid CDL (minimum B)
• Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
• CDL A & B preferred
• Pass DOT physical and other requirements
• Ability to drive in a safe and courteous manner
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
• Previous experience with data entry skills to input data on a tablet preferred
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
• Maintaining a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Licensure and Experience:

• Prior experience with fuel delivery
• CTEP Certified
• MA or NH Propane license
• Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
• MA hoisting/crane license
• Medic First Aid and CPR card and be proficient in their application

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
