Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a friendly cash-handling teammate in California to deliver fast, accurate transactions and helpful customer service. The role may also include duties as a sales associate or merchandiser, with training on wine, spirits, and beer.

You’ll report to store management and be part of a team focused on a great customer experience. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail, familiarity with POS systems, and a willingness to learn about products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and teamwork.
• 1–3 years of work experience, retail experience preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification, payment handling, inquiries, loyalty programs, and bagging.
• Provide a personalized customer experience by greeting and informing customers about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with alcohol sale laws.
