Job summary

Spring Brook Country Club is seeking a Seasonal Food Runner to join our Food & Beverage team. You will help deliver meals from the kitchen to dining areas, poolside venues, and banquet events with accuracy and speed, working closely with servers, chefs, and management during busy lunch, dinner, and event periods.

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to members and guests accurately and promptly.
  • Verify plate presentation and order accuracy before delivering meals.
  • Assist servers with table maintenance, beverage refills, and guest requests.
  • Support banquet, pool, patio, and dining room operations as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with culinary and service teams regarding timing, modifications, and special requests.
  • Maintain clean and organized service stations, dining areas, and pathways.
  • Clear tables and assist with dining room resets during and after service.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Provide friendly, professional interactions with members and guests at all times.
  • Assist management and team members in creating a positive and efficient dining experience.

About the Role

The Seasonal Food Runner is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team, helping deliver exceptional dining experiences to Spring Brook Country Club members and guests. This position is responsible for ensuring food is delivered accurately, efficiently, and professionally from the kitchen to dining areas, poolside venues, banquet events, and outdoor dining locations. The Food Runner works closely with servers, bartenders, chefs, and management to maintain smooth service operations during busy lunch, dinner, tournament, and special event periods. Success in this role requires energy, teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding hospitality.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be available to work a seasonal schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
  • Ability to lift and safely carry trays, food items, and service equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and hospitality standards.
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Food Runner, Busser, Server Assistant, or similar hospitality role.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Experience working in private clubs, restaurants, resorts, or banquet facilities.
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized during high-volume service periods.
  • Food Handler or ServSafe certification is a plus.
