Job summary

Food and Thought 2 is seeking a friendly Food Runner to support dining service by delivering meals and beverages from the kitchen to tables, keeping the dining area tidy, and assisting waitstaff as needed.

The role involves mornings/afternoons with weekend availability, emphasizing teamwork, good hygiene, and guest interaction. We offer family-like culture, paid vacation, and discounts on our organic food.

Qualifications

• Available to work mornings or afternoons Monday–Friday and weekends.
• Comfortable talking to people and working in a team.
• Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
• Place condiments on tables, napkin holders.
• Maintains areas clean and orderly as instructed.
• Aids in expediting food from the kitchen.
• Clean and wipe tables after guests leave.
• Remove dirty plates and utensils, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Job Summary:

The Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests by delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to the table, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, and supporting the waitstaff and kitchen team as needed.

Requirements

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
• Place condiments on tables, napkins holders.
• Maintains areas clean and orderly as instructed.
• Aids in expediting food from the kitchen.
• Clean and wipe tables after guests leave.
• Remove dirty plates and utensils, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

• Available to work in the morning or afternoon Monday through Friday and weekends.
• Must be comfortable talking to people.
• Able to work well with others as a team.
• Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness
• Available to work afternoons and weekends.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling throughout the shift
• Manual dexterity to safely handle knives, tools, and kitchen equipment
• Clear vision and hearing to ensure safety, accuracy, and effective communication
• Ability to climb step stools or ladders as needed
• Must be able to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as scheduled
