Job summary

The Best Bees Company is seeking a part-time seasonal beekeeper to service hives across the Cape Cod area. This role supports field operations and research by installing, maintaining, and relocating beehives for residences and businesses in the region.

Ideal candidates have a full season of beekeeping, MA pesticide certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift 75 lbs and work long days during peak season.

Qualifications

• At least one full season of beekeeping experience (personal hives, professionally, completed bee courses, mentoring, etc.)
• Certification for Pesticide Application in MA
• Familiarity with public speaking or event hosting
• Consistent weekday availability
• Personal vehicle, valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to communicate clearly, through phone and Google apps (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive)
• Willingness to take on additional, often last-minute hive tasks/hive checks
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with Best Bees clientele and teammates
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Able to work independently in the field with remote managers
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs
• Be able to work 10 hour days in height of season

Responsibilities

• Service Best Bees hives in the Cape Cod area following monthly objectives
• Record detailed information about the beehives through our proprietary application
• Perform beehive installations, relocations, and removals
• Administer Varroa mite treatments safely and efficiently
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with Best Bees clientele
