Job summary

YMCA of the Rockies at Snow Mountain Ranch is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Lead to supervise and assist seasonal staff in maintaining guest accommodations, public areas, and grounds. The role requires physical endurance, snow shoveling during the winter months, and collaboration with year-round maintenance teams.

The position involves performing minor repairs, operating common tools, and supporting safety and cleanliness across the property while providing dependable leadership to the team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, USA state-issued driver’s license.
• Demonstrate fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and basic decision-making for other seasonal staff.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, kneeling, and lifting, indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and work on roofs safely.
• Shovel snow from walks, porches, stairs, and roofs October–April.
• Assist year-round staff by following instructions on maintenance projects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
• Repair minor facility issues (changing light bulbs, installing screens, unclogging toilets).
• Safely operate hand and power tools used in construction and maintenance.
• Disposal of trash; lift bags up to 50 lbs.
• Work night maintenance shifts as needed.
• Assist with carpentry, painting, plumbing, landscaping, and cleaning tasks.
• Perform basic electrical tasks (wiring, lighting installation, fixture repairs).
• Other duties as assigned.
