Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or have a High School Diploma.
• Flexible schedule year-round including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sometimes overnight.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Positive and upbeat personality with strong customer service.
• Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve.

Responsibilities

• Event set-up for all spaces at the ArtsQuest Center and Visitor’s Center based on diagrams provided by the Operations Specialist.
• Assist in event and festival set-up, operation, and break-down.
• Lead and assist volunteer groups in event and festival set-up, operation, and break-down.
• Break down all rooms when functions conclude and return items to storage areas.
• Assist with removal of garbage and recycling containers after events.
• Handle guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously; troubleshoot problems.
• Perform routine safety and cleanliness inspections of the facility.
• Know building policies, procedures, and event requirements; assist guests with inquiries.
• Answer general questions; assist volunteers and staff; handle additional duties as needed by guests or management.
• Assist in general grounds maintenance and upkeep; light maintenance such as changing bulbs.
