Job summary

SCHEELS is hiring for a seasonal position in Billings, MT. Compensation is $16.00 per hour with hours varying from 15 to 25 per week on average, and potential for up to 40 hours. Shifts include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

This 60-day assignment starts around late October or early November, with a path to a permanent position after the season if available. Responsibilities include packing, labeling, and shipping prep, plus collaborating with the team to meet goals.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training preferred, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and organize products to complete orders from assigned lists.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  • Understand brands, shops, and internal inventory systems.
  • Execute project work plans to complete the task on time and revise as needed.
  • Communicate with leadership and other team members to resolve questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.

Compensation: $16.00/hour

Schedule: Hours will vary from 15-25 hours/week on average, but could work up to 40 hours/week. Daytime, evening, and weekend hours are available.

Status: Seasonal- This is a 60 day position and will start on either 10/26 or 11/2. Associates may choose to apply for a permanent position with SCHEELS following the end of the seasonal time period if they choose.

Responsibilities:

Education & Experience:

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED); one to three months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of both.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
