Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a seasonal driver to transport bell ringers and equipment to kettle sites and to collect Angel Tree donations for shipment to the warehouse. You will drive to various locations, ensuring passenger safety and timely arrivals under varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, maintaining mileage logs, and coordinating with site staff. A valid license and compliance with DOT rules are required for all duties.

Responsibilities

• Transport bell ringers and Red Kettle equipment to kettle sites and to bell-ringing locations.
• PICK UP Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to the warehouse and deliver miscellaneous items as needed.
• Drive safely, obey traffic laws, and consider weather and road conditions to ensure passenger safety.
• Maintain accurate mileage logs and refuel the vehicle per state regulations and Salvation Army standards.
• Arrive on schedule, communicate delays as needed, and supervise passenger conduct.

Schedule/Hours: Seasonal; schedule and weekly hours as assigned.This position is responsible for:Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell-ringing locations and to pick up and deliver Angel Tree donations and other items as needed.Key Responsibilities:Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps.Picks up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to the warehouse and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.Drives carefully and complies with traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure passenger safety; parks safely and secures the vehicle when not in use.Fuels the vehicle in accordance with state regulations and The Salvation Army standards and maintains accurate mileage logs.Arrives at destinations according to schedule, communicates severe delays, and maintains control of passenger activities to promote safe conduct.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:Ability to meet attendance requirements; read, write, and communicate in English; and drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and on extended trips.
