Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Seasonal Driver in Salisbury, MD to transport bell ringers and equipment between kettle sites. You will also collect and move Angel Tree donations and other items as needed, while maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include following safety regulations, logging mileage, and aiding with breaks for bell ringers when needed. This is a limited-time position with a November–December schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience operating an automotive vehicle.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Ability to follow safety and traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers and equipment to bell ringing locations.
• Provide transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and to the warehouse as needed.
• Picks up Angel Tree donations and transports between sites and warehouse.
• Observe traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety.
• Park and lock vehicle securely when not in use; fuel vehicle per regulations.
• Log mileage accurately and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

LOCATION: Salisbury, Maryland CorpsPOSITION: Seasonal DriverPOSITION TYPE: Seasonal (approximately November 18, 2026 - December 24, 2026)full-time (40 hours/week)PAY RATE: $15.00/hourThis position is responsible for:Driving a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations.Key Responsibilities:Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps.Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse.Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.Logs all mileage on standard forms; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.Arrives at destination according to schedule or telephones ahead when severe delays occur.Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.Records time for kettle pickup.May give relief to Bell Ringers to take their 15 minute breaks by ringing the bell at a kettle site.Washes and cleans vehicle regularly.Performs other related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience operating an automotive vehicle; ORany equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSValid State Driver's LicenseMedical CertificateEqual Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
