Job summary

Metropolitan Ministries is seeking a Customer Service Associate to support the Tampa Bay community during the holiday season. You will greet donors, process donations, collect donor information, and issue receipts as part of a large, mission-driven team.

You'll work with volunteers and staff in a fast-paced environment, handling donation sorting, counts, and reporting while engaging the public with professionalism and care. This temporary role runs 11/2/2026–12/24/2026 in the Tampa Bay area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with donors and staff.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
• Ability to plan, organize, and pay attention to detail.
• Customer service-oriented attitude aligned with our mission.

Responsibilities

• Greet and thank donors dropping off donations or using donor lanes.
• Assist with collecting donations and tally by weight or count.
• Capture donor bio information and issue emailed receipts.
• Oversee and participate in donation sorting as needed.
• Train and supervise volunteers performing these tasks.
• Ensure protein counts are tracked in the software.
• Support Holiday Volunteer Leaders during distribution days.
• Assist with other assigned tasks to help Metropolitan Ministries.
