Job summary

Michaels is hiring for a retail associate at our Long Beach, CA location. You will help customers find products, assist with checkout, and enroll customers in Rewards and credit programs. You’ll support BOPIS and SFS, unload trucks, stock shelves, manage planograms, and ensure a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Lifting, bending, and stocking duties; may involve ladder work for high shelves.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC survey.
• Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Maintain in-stock, merchandised store; handle returns and go-back process.
• Support shrink and safety programs and follow SOPs.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
