Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Team Member in Oxford, AL to assist customers, manage checkout, and support merchandising and store operations. The role involves helping customers locate products, enrolling them in rewards and private label cards, and guiding omni-channel services like BOPIS and SFS.

Applicants should be prepared for a fast-paced retail environment, with shifts including nights, weekends, and early mornings. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

• Ability to stand for long periods and move about the store.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance and handle returns/go backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies; maintain professionalism.
• Interact with others respectfully; be a role model for team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
