Job summary

The Salvation Army in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Seasonal Support Worker to assist with Angel Tree and other seasonal programs. This is a Seasonal Full Time position running 10/1/2026–1/30/2026, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Under supervision, you will schedule appointments, interview community members, determine eligibility, and perform accurate data entry. You will help sort and distribute donations and assist with program reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting or equivalent.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones and provides accurate information to clients.
• Schedules appointments for clients in a courteous manner.
• Greets Angel Tree sponsorship participants and communicates program guidelines.
• Screens Angel Tree applications to determine eligibility for participation.
