Job summary

The Salvation Army in Washington, DC is seeking a Seasonal Support Worker to assist with Angel Tree sponsorships. Under supervision, you will recruit and coordinate volunteers, assemble sponsorship materials, and perform accurate data entry.

You will also help sort donations in the warehouse, support event setup and breakdown, and handle courteous phone and email inquiries from sponsors and clients. A high school diploma or GED and data entry experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Angel Tree sponsorship, volunteer recruitment and coordination.
• Assemble all Angel Tree sponsorship material packages for shipping.
• Perform accurate and complete computer data entry.
• Sort and move donations in the warehouse and assist with setup/breakdown of events.
