Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Able to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the POS system to accurately process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Support daily store operations including inventory, receiving merchandise, and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge about merchandise and store services to confidently assist customers.
• Collaborate with teammates to accomplish daily priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe store environment that reflects the Barnes & Noble College brand.
