Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
• Strong customer service mindset and positive shopping experience
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math, keyboarding and data entry skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing store needs
• Dependable, self-motivated and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Assist customers in locating materials and merchandise to meet their needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support inventory, receiving, order fulfillment and other store operations.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers with store services and materials.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve daily priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Contribute to a clean, safe store reflecting the Barnes & Noble College brand.
