Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver an exceptional retail experience and support daily operations on campus. You will greet customers, help locate materials, and assist with inventory and checkout processes.

You will work with store leadership and teammates in a fast-paced environment, maintaining an organized floor and providing friendly service to students, faculty, and alumni.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and providing helpful service.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, gifts, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support daily store operations by assisting with inventory and order fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers.
