Galileo Learning, LLC seeks an experienced Camp Director to lead a Bellevue summer camp (Crossroads 2027). You will serve as site General Manager, build a dynamic seasonal team, and ensure outstanding camper experiences, safety, and program quality.

You will oversee preseason planning, on-site operations, and staff development while acting as the public face of Galileo in the community. This role requires strong communication, safety focus, and dedication to hands-on, project-based learning

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting (out-of-school time, teaching, education administration, camps/recreation, etc.).
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven experience setting clear expectations, giving ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Track record of staying calm and making sound decisions in fast-paced situations, including safety issues and challenging conversations with families.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families, partners, and supervisors.
• Experience with hands-on, project-based learning (STEAM, art, design, maker programs) is a plus.
• Availability for part-time remote work starting Feb 2026, and full-time on-site work starting June 2026 (dates vary by location).
• Willingness to travel in the region to up to 3 in person marketing events, in the preseason.
• Ability to complete all required training before camp begins.
• Ability to meet state requirements to work with children, including mandated screenings and Adult & Child First Aid/CPR certification

Responsabilités

• Launch and operate camp sites with preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communication while delivering an exceptional program.
• Train and mentor staff, schedule, payroll, and ongoing performance management.
• Build a safe, inclusive environment and maintain camp safety and program fidelity.
• Communicate proactively with families, facilities partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Serve as the primary face of camp within the community and travel to regional events as needed.
