Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our seasonal summer camps for K-8th grade. You will act as site General Manager and the public face of Galileo, opening and operating a Camp Galileo location within your community and guiding a diverse team to create joyful, safe environments and exceptional camper experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting (out-of-school time, teaching, education administration, camps/recreation) is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff is required.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Experience with hands-on, project-based learning (STEAM, art, design, maker programs) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead camp operations from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily operations and parent communication to deliver an exceptional program.
• Train, mentor and schedule a staff of 7 to 40, including educators and entry-level staff.
• Build community partnerships and serve as the primary face of camp in the community.
• Ensure camper safety, program fidelity, and high-quality family experiences.
