Job summary

The American Girl NYC City store and Cafe is seeking a dynamic Server for its part-time, seasonal team to deliver food and beverages and provide an outstanding dining experience to guests. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly, and handle guest requests graciously and promptly.

Previous restaurant experience, ServSafe is preferred, and you should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification, preferred.
• Two years of experience in a high volume and/or fine dining restaurant, required.
• Banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Experience working with children, preferred.
• Ease of use with restaurant computer systems, preferred.
• Physically demanding position; lift up to 50 lbs and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival and inform them of food and beverage options.
• Know menu items and ingredients; suggest options for allergies.
• Address guest concerns and requests professionally and promptly.
• Deliver and service food/beverage; upsell and manage tables; process checks via Infogenesis system.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Support team with events and storewide activities.
