Qualifications

NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate
NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate
Background as a player at high school or college level preferred
Previous experience as an assistant or head coach preferred
Understanding of sports rules, strategies, safety protocols and best practices
Models the MPS Portrait of a Graduate and the MPS Promise

Responsibilities

Design and lead practices to improve individual and team performance.
Develop values of sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork and balance of academics with athletics.
Foster a positive, inclusive team culture and address conflicts.
Maintain practice, game, and transportation schedules; keep records and evaluations.
Enforce eligibility, safety protocols, rule changes, and player conduct.
Communicate with parents, staff, booster club and community.
Assist with other duties as appropriate to the area.
