Playbill, Inc. seeks a Box Office Supervisor for THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride in New Orleans.

You will greet customers, confirm reservations, manage ticket redemption, and direct patrons with a friendly, efficient approach on a fast-paced moving-train venue. Leading the Box Office team and coordinating with FOH and the Business Manager, you’ll ensure accurate data entry in the Etix system and respond to guest inquiries, while maintaining a positive, inclusive work environment.

Competenze

• Ability to learn the Etix ticketing platform with efficiency and competency
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work weekends and evenings
• Possess a well-spoken manner in personal communications
• Self-motivation and attention to details
• Must be 18 or over
• Majority of time spent in a ticketing office setting
• Able to work in cold, snowy, or otherwise inclement winter weather
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Able to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving train
• Time spent in and around active railroad yard(s)

Mansioni

• Act as an example to, and assist in leading, the Box Office team
• Act as a liaison between the Box Office Agents and the FOH & Business Manager
• Welcome customers and assist the team with any service needs
• Handle customer inquiries and ensure a pleasant customer experience
• Confirm reservations, ensuring passengers have arrived at the appropriate date and time
• Become familiar with the Etix ticketing system (Etix ticketing system training will be provided)
• Make any necessary updates to customers’ information, entering into the system and ensure that proper information has been punched in prior to delivering tickets
• Assist customers with rebooking missed departures or seating issues and making reservation adjustments to orders with incorrect ticket products
• Acquire knowledge of on-board experience, performance highlights, and venue facility and act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or event information
• Assist Front of House Manager with reports when needed
• Assist the Front of House Manager in ensuring that the Box Office team is taking their proper breaks and lunch
• Oversee that the Box Office agents are staying on task and support as needed
• Assist in general care of ticketing area including keeping a clean and orderly space
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises other management with related concerns
• Other duties as assigned
