Job summary

Southeast Conservation Corps seeks a Boundary Marking Crew Leader II to guide field crews in conserving public and private lands in the Southeast. Based out of Chattanooga, you will travel with a crew, camp, and perform boundary maintenance tasks for USFS projects with a focus on safety and teamwork.

The role requires leadership, endurance for long field days, and the ability to mentor younger staff while coordinating logistics and project work across challenging terrain.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership and supervisory experience with youth or young adults.
• WFR or higher certification and willingness to obtain required credentials.
• Ability to manage field crews and work in harsh outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise crew leaders and crew members in field operations.
• Provide training on safety, equipment use, and conservation techniques.
• Coordinate logistics, hours, and administrative tasks while in the field.
• Support project execution and ensure adherence to safety policies.
