Job summary

Books-A-Million in Gurnee, IL is seeking a 2nd & Charles Associate to provide exceptional customer service, assist shoppers, and handle cashiering with accuracy.

You will help customers locate books and merchandise, stock shelves, reset displays, and keep the sales floor organized while following merchandising guidelines.

Candidates must be 16+ years old, pass background screenings, and bring strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old and able to pass background screenings.
• Experience in retail or customer service is helpful.
• Cash handling and basic computer skills preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with questions and checkout.
• Sell products and participate in store programs.
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays according to guidelines.
• Maintain clean sales floor and reset displays as required.
• Protect assets by following loss prevention standards.
• Assist in other departments and with inventory or upkeep.
