Job summary

The Maven, a Sage Hospitality Group property in Denver, seeks a seasonal, part-time Banquet Server to provide friendly food service to guests, set up and break down functions, and maintain high dining standards at events.

You'll read BEOs, assist with buffets, and work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays in a fast-paced, 172-key hotel environment, with physical demands including standing and lifting.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3+ months of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of customer service principles, food service and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Read BEO and complete a set-up.
• Set tables correctly and uniformly.
• Keep station neat while serving guests.
• Assist Lead Banquet Server with set-up/breaking down buffet or other tables/equipment.
• Greet and serve guests following policies/procedures.
• Follow guest check and money-handling procedures for a-la-carte and beverage orders.
• Complete assigned sidework.
• Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience.
• Able to work flexible shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Travel requirements – local travel for outside catering functions only.
