Job summary
The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Deicing Equipment Mechanic for the Des Moines Airport (DSM). A part-time/seasonal role focused on maintaining deicing equipment, ground support equipment, service vehicles and related facility gear to ensure safety and reliability throughout the season.
Responsibilities include inspections, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration with Operations for de/anti-icing activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; two years in a maintenance field with mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and perform repairs in timeframes.
- Experience with gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment; able to read maintenance manuals and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair deicing equipment, GSE, vehicles and pumps.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and keep accurate records.
- Communicate status of repairs and timelines with team and management.
- Assist with parts identification, inventory and ordering as needed.
- Prepare equipment for de/anti-icing operations and assist with related tasks.
