Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Deicing Equipment Mechanic for Des Moines DSM, to maintain deicing gear, GSE, vehicles and related equipment. The role covers planned and unplanned maintenance with emphasis on safety and record accuracy.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical/mechanical faults, preparing equipment for de/icing, and assisting operations with aircraft de/icing when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2+ years in a maintenance field.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and perform repairs in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment and their maintenance.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints and use diagnostic tools.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Safety-first mindset with strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair deicing equipment and related ground support equipment.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and record-keeping.
• Communicate status of repairs and timelines with team.
• Identify parts needed and assist with ordering.
• Prepare equipment for de/icing operations and coordinate with operations when needed.
• Support de/anti-icing operations as required.
