Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Deicing Equipment Mechanic for the Des Moines area. This on-site role supports de/anti-icing operations, performs preventive and corrective maintenance on deicing equipment and GSE, and assists the Operations team as needed.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years in a maintenance role, with mechanical and electrical experience. A valid driver’s license is required and safety is a core priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; minimum two years in a maintenance field with mechanical and electrical experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and complete repairs within set timeframes.
• Experience with gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints and use standard tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain and repair deicing equipment, GSE and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and document checks and inspections.
• Communicate equipment status and expected completion timelines with team and management.
• Identify parts and materials needed, maintain inventory and assist with ordering.
