Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe environment for customers and assets.

You will support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence. You will work with the Asset Protection Manager and local law enforcement, monitor CCTV, conduct surveillance, and help train teams on asset prevention while coordinating with store operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC; Denver, Colorado; New York City, New York; St. Louis, Missouri; and Oregon.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills (preferred).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• A calm and professional approach to handling safety related situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data, conducting package checks, and responding to alarms in our Employee Service Area.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and other reporting tools.
• Complete accurate and timely incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention, partner with management on action plans, and connect with local law enforcement.
