Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe, secure environment for people, customers and assets. You will support safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence.

Qualifications

• A valid security license is required for this role in Washington DC; Denver, CO; NYC, NY; St. Louis, MO; and OR.
• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to safety situations.
• Confidentiality and accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic computer skills.
• Comfortable using surveillance and reporting tech.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and conduct surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and reporting tools.
• Complete incident, investigation, and security metrics reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention and work with management on action plans and law enforcement.
