Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking an Asset Protection Coordinator to help maintain a safe environment for customers and assets.

You’ll monitor surveillance, support investigations, and partner with store leadership to reduce shrink and promote operational excellence. You will work with the Asset Protection Manager and local law enforcement, handling CCTV operations, incident reporting, and training frontline teams on asset prevention while ensuring a calm, professional approach.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail or asset protection experience.
• A valid security license is required for this role in certain locations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Calm and professional approach to handling safety-related situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and surveillance to identify suspicious activity.
• Support investigations by gathering data and responding to alarms.
• Enforce safety and security procedures to promote a safe store environment.
• Execute shrink reduction strategies using RFID and reporting tools.
• Complete accurate incident, investigation, and security metric reports.
• Assist in training store teams on asset prevention and connect with local law enforcement.
