The City of Carson is seeking part-time Seasonal Aides to support its Community Services, Recreation, and Park Maintenance programs. Work involves officiating events, field prep, and assisting with citywide programs, with hours limited to 960 per fiscal year.
These entry-level, at-will positions provide hands-on experience and opportunities to develop workplace skills while helping youth and residents participate in sports and events across the city.

These positions are available throughout our Community Services, Recreation, & Park Maintenance Department and offers a great opportunity for individuals ages16 and older who want to gain hands‑on experience, support community programs, and develop valuable workplace skills. This entry‑level, part‑time role offers a chance to be involved in recreational activities, sports, and special events throughout the city while making a positive impact in your community.
These positions are part‑time/temporary, at‑will (FLSA: Non‑Exempt) positions that are limited to a maximum of 960 hours per fiscal year. Part‑time employees are not typically eligible for benefits; however, they may qualify for health coverage and sick leave accruals subject to applicable federal and state provisions.
Under general supervision to perform a variety of routine and repetitive manual or recreational duties on a seasonal basis and to perform related duties as required.
(These functions are representative and may not be present in all positions in the class. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind related duties and work assignments.)
