Job summary

ShopRite of Lincoln Park is seeking a Seafood Clerk to manage the Seafood Department and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will prepare, pack, and display fresh and frozen seafood, ensuring quality, rotation, and accurate pricing.

The role requires standing most of the shift and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs, with a focus on safety and sanitation. Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking, labeling, and following all Department policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to handle fresh and processed seafood safely.
• Stand for long shifts and lift 25–50 lbs regularly.
• Provide friendly, accurate customer service.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and QA standards.
• Punctual and able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Receive, code-date, price-mark, stock and rotate products.
• Differentiate types of seafood and advise customers on prep and use.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seafood department.
• Monitor refrigeration equipment and report issues promptly.
• Follow company safety, QA, and regulatory policies.
