ShopRite in Elmwood Park, NJ is seeking a Seafood Clerk to operate the Seafood Department and deliver exceptional customer service. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood, maintain quality, and support store operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to stand for long shifts. Training and safety protocols are provided, with opportunities to contribute to product freshness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, speaking English required.
• Able to lift 25–50 lbs and handle seafood products.
• Able to stand, walk and perform duties for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, packaging, storing, price-marking, and restocking seafood products.
• Differentiate between seafood varieties and related merchandise; communicate price differences.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of work surfaces and tools.
• Operate and report any equipment issues; comply with QA standards and safety rules.
• Assist in controlling freshness, quality, and rotation of products.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to seafood operations.
