Job summary

ShopRite of Neptune in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Seafood Clerk to help run the seafood department and deliver great customer service. You will prepare and package fresh and frozen seafood, follow department standards, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, read and speak English, and work cooperatively with others. Prior retail or seafood experience is a plus; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to tolerate dust and chemicals during routine duties.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow procedures for receiving, coding, dating, preparing, storing, and restocking products.
• Be knowledgeable about different seafood types and price differences.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and safety regulations.
