Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate will be responsible for the following duties, in addition to other tasks as assigned:

1. Maintain a well-stocked and appealing seafood area, greet customers, suggest products, and provide seafood preparation information. Assist with special requests and resolve customer concerns courteously.
2. Set up displays, rotate products, ensure freshness, proper pricing, and signage. Handle spoiled or damaged products according to company standards.
3. Weigh, wrap, and label merchandise. Keep logs for freshness and quality, and adhere to safety codes when handling products.
4. Maintain cleanliness of the department, follow cleaning schedules, and ensure health and OSHA compliance. Properly dispose of trash.
5. Assist with inventory control, minimize losses, and report shortages or overages to the manager.
6. Help with receiving and storing deliveries using proper equipment, with training provided.
7. Assist with other duties such as baling cardboard, if trained.
8. Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth department operation and continuously improve job performance.
9. Use all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
10. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not currently have supervisory duties.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with or without accommodations.
