Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Keeps seafood area well stocked and appealing to meet customer requirements. Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions and provides information on seafood preparation. Takes orders for future delivery and helps fill special requests. Helps resolve customer concerns promptly and courteously.
2. Sets up displays, rotates product, ensures seafood is fresh and properly priced with signage. Handles spoiled, damaged, or near-expiration products according to company standards. Removes non-saleable products to maintain quality.
3. Weighs, wraps, and labels merchandise with price and weight. Maintains logs to track freshness and quality. Adheres to food and safety codes when handling products and using kitchen tools.
4. Maintains sanitation of the department by following cleaning schedules and health standards. Disposes of trash properly.
5. Assists in inventory control through proper ordering, minimizing losses, and reporting shortages or overages to management.
6. May assist with receiving and storing deliveries using proper equipment. Training provided.
7. May help with baling cardboard or related duties. Training provided.
8. Supports department and store operations by cooperating with colleagues and supervisors. Seeks continuous improvement in job performance.
9. Uses all provided PPE, including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
10. May be called upon to assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements
