This hands-on role requires strong organization, the ability to follow processes, and comfort working in refrigerated environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily seafood department operations with focus on customer service, freshness, and department readiness
• Coordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to support department coverage
• Execute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelines
• Prepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displays
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, including cases, prep areas, and equipment
• Monitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired items
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in-stock conditions
• Track and log required temperature checks for coolers and freezers
• Maintain department signage and communication updates
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational standards
