Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a part-time seafood associate in Severna Park, MD to process, package and stock seafood products while delivering friendly customer service. You may also perform meat clerk duties as needed and participate in required safety and sanitation training.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months related experience, and strong English-language skills. This position involves lifting up to 100 pounds and working in a cool environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English and to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to present information effectively to customers, vendors, and associates who speak English.

Responsibilities

• Process/pack seafood products according to Seafood Standards; stock shelves.
• Clean work areas and unload stock; reload salvage.
• Provide customer service and assist customers.
• Perform duties of meat clerk when assigned.
