Job summary

Bedrock Ocean Exploration seeks a Hydrographer/Geophysicist to analyze high-resolution seafloor data and own data quality feedback across MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and sub-bottom surveys.

You will create data products for commercial clients, serve as the primary contact for data quality and deliverables, and explain uncertainties clearly while guiding customers through the data’s value. This role advances data standards and workflow improvements at Bedrock.

Qualifications

• Experience processing and reporting on at least two of: MBES, SSS, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler, using commercial software.
• Comfort with ArcGIS, QGIS, and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience writing data reports for commercial clients.
• Attention to detail- you find the artifact nobody else saw.

Responsibilities

• Data Processing & Quality: First-pass analysis of MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and sub-bottom data; own rapid feedback on data quality.
• Clients & Education: Create data products and serve as main contact for data quality issues and deliverables.
• The Leading Edge: Help define uncertainty and accuracy standards in ocean data; collaborate on workflow improvements.
• Not a Fit / Operating: Learn fast, ask questions, and communicate effectively with customers.
