Job summary

Bedrock Ocean Exploration seeks a Hydrographer/Geophysicist to process and analyze MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and sub-bottom data from field tests and operations. You will own rapid data-quality feedback and discuss data quality and deliverables with clients, teaching them how to read what they see and its value.

You will help define uncertainty guidelines with governments and partners, shaping the future of ocean data. This role rewards curiosity, speed of learning, and engagement with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience processing and reporting on MBES, SSS, magnetometer, or sub-bottom profiler data using commercial software.
• Comfort with ArcGIS, QGIS, and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience writing data reports for commercial clients.
• Attention to detail—you find artifacts nobody else saw.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-pass analysis of MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and/or sub-bottom profiler data using commercial software.
• Provide rapid, iterative feedback on data quality and report results.
• Spot artifacts and anomalies and reason about their causes.
• Collaborate with Bedrock leadership and clients to uphold the highest data quality standards.
