Job summary

Bedrock is seeking a Hydrographer/Geophysicist to work with high‑resolution seafloor data and own rapid data quality feedback. You will discuss data quality with customers and teach readers how to read the data and its value.

You will contribute to defining uncertainty and accuracy in ocean data standards, and collaborate on iterative improvements to processing workflows and survey planning. You are curious, fast‑learning, and eager to work with customers.

Qualifications

• Experience processing and reporting on MBES/SSS/magnetometer/sub-bottom data using commercial software
• Attention to detail—spot artifacts nobody else saw
• Comfortable explaining data quality and uncertainty to clients

Responsibilities

• First-pass analysis of MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and sub-bottom data using commercial software
• Own rapid, iterative feedback on data quality
• Spot artifacts and reason about causes
• Work with leadership and customers to maintain highest data quality standards
• Create data products and write-ups for commercial clients
• Serve as primary point of contact for data quality issues and deliverables
• Teach clients about the value of AUV data and how to use it
• Explain trade-offs, limitations, and uncertainty clearly
• Contribute to defining uncertainty and accuracy in ocean data standards
• Collaborate with product/engineering on vehicle and survey planning improvements
• Help build scalable processing workflows
