Job summary

Bedrock Ocean Exploration seeks a Hydrographer/Geophysicist to process high-resolution seafloor data and own rapid quality feedback across MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and sub-bottom datasets.

You will engage with clients on data quality, teach how to read results, and contribute to defining uncertainty standards as Bedrock partners with governments and industry to push the boundaries of ocean mapping.

Qualifications

• Experience processing and reporting on MBES, SSS, magnetometer, or sub-bottom profiler using commercial software.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, QGIS, and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience writing data reports for commercial clients.
• Attention to detail and artifact detection.

Responsibilities

• First-pass analysis of MBES, SSS, magnetometer, and/or sub-bottom data using commercial software.
• Own rapid, iterative feedback on data quality and interpretation.
• Spot artifacts and anomalies and reason about their causes.
• Educate clients about data quality, interpretations, and deliverables.
