Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Pittsburgh site is looking for a new Sea Logistics Sales Representative to join our Sea Logistics team.

Your Role

As a Sales Executive at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a vital role in supporting our rapid growth in sea logistics. We are hiring highly motivated individuals who are sales-savvy and believe in delivering quality service to meet customer needs. This role will be responsible for achieving portfolio targets through developing existing and new customers in line with our national sales management guidelines.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with customers by meeting with them to discuss their needs and expectations, aiming to bring in new business.
  • Work with the Customer Care team to ensure all customer inquiries are promptly addressed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Sea Logistics organization to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and developments, especially in the Transpacific Eastbound market.
  • Comply with all Kuehne+Nagel procedures, including those related to ethics, compliance, and safety.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Build relationships through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and presentations.
  • Negotiate and close deals to grow revenue, managing the sales process from start to finish using a CRM system.
  • Understand all of Kuehne+Nagel's products and services to provide suitable solutions to prospective customers.
  • Utilize all available resources to achieve sales goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service exceeding expectations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with other teams to gather information, negotiate pricing, and prepare for shipment handovers.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • At least 2+ years of field sales experience in freight forwarding with a focus on international sea logistics.
  • Experience with logistics processes and solutions.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
