Job summary

SDS Rx, a leader in specialized healthcare logistics powered by DHL, seeks a Dispatcher to coordinate time-sensitive medication deliveries and dispatch drivers efficiently to meet pharmacy requirements.

You will manage route assignments, communicate with drivers and pharmacy staff, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Dispatch, logistics, courier, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong computer skills with ability to learn routing and scanning systems.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with e-courier or similar system is a plus.
• Basic spreadsheet knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate drivers and delivery routes.
• Manage driver schedules and communicate route changes.
• Sort, scan, and organize delivery bags accurately and efficiently.
• Adjust routes based on volume and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate routing and delivery information within company systems.
• Assist with emergency deliveries or routes when needed.
• Maintain basic office and operational supplies.
• Coordinate daily driver dispatch activities, including early morning route releases and route assignments.
• Ensure drivers arrive on time and prepared for routes; confirm appearance requirements.
• Monitor route execution and address delays or issues.
• Manage urgent STAT medication deliveries and time-sensitive orders.
• Review controlled substance manifests and verify documentation before route release.
• Scan and maintain records of controlled medication documentation.
• Support pharmacy operations through administrative tasks and system updates.
• Communicate with drivers, pharmacy staff, customers, and management about status.
• Track package movement and delivery performance to meet service commitments.
• Utilize dispatch tech, mobile apps, printers, and systems to support daily ops.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Assist with after-hours support until routes are released and serviced.
• Maintain professional, organized, customer-focused environment.

This position supports daily pharmacy operations through route management, driver coordination, shipment tracking, documentation processing, and customer service. The Dispatcher serves as a key communication link between drivers, pharmacy personnel, and customers, ensuring all deliveries are executed accurately and within required service levels.

• Communicating effectively with drivers, pharmacy staff, customers, and management regarding route status and service concerns.
• Tracking package movement and delivery performance to ensure service commitments are met.
• Utilizing company technology, mobile applications, printers, and dispatch systems to support daily operations.
• Identifying operational challenges and implementing solutions to maintain efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
