Comcast Business is seeking a Service Delivery (SDN) engineer to join the team across CO, IL, TX, NJ and other sites. The role focuses on configuring and troubleshooting software-defined networks, and working with project managers to deliver reliable IP network services and customer-focused solutions.

You will implement uCPE and update inventory with IP assignments, provision services on the SDN platform, create BOMs, test circuits, and collaborate with Engineering to evolve products.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsabilidades

• Implementing Universal Customer Premise Equipment and updating inventory management with IP assignments and CLLI codes for network services
• Provisioning and configuring network services on the SDN platform, including Firewall, NAT/PAT, QoS, and BGP among others
• Creating complete Bill of Materials for site hardware, ensuring compatibility with service configurations to fulfill customer requirements
• Collaborating with Customer Project Managers to provide technical guidance and configurations during the Service Delivery process for IP network technologies
• Conducting tests and commissioning new uCPE and Wireless Backup circuits, documenting results and ensuring production environment readiness
• Recommending improvements to practices and procedures based on field experience and technical expertise in network service delivery
• Troubleshooting complex IP networking and security issues, employing expert knowledge to resolve problems and optimize network performance
• Engaging with customers to educate them on service functionalities, enhancing their understanding and satisfaction with provided solutions
• Analyzing and implementing test and acceptance criteria for network elements, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards
• Coordinating with Engineering and Product Development teams to assess technical requirements, support operations, and contribute to product evolution
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
• Regular attendance; nights and weekends as needed
