Job summary

Comcast is seeking a network-focused professional to drive delivery and support for software-defined networks, configuring services and collaborating with project managers to ensure reliable, customer-centric network solutions. The role emphasizes hands-on provisioning, testing, and troubleshooting across SDN components.

The candidate will work closely with engineering and product teams, participate in service delivery, and adapt to nights and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Universal Customer Premise Equipment and updating inventory management with IP assignments and CLLI codes for network services.
• Provisioning and configuring network services on the SDN platform, including Firewall, NAT/PAT, QoS, and BGP among others.
• Creating complete Bill of Materials for site hardware, ensuring compatibility with service configurations to fulfill customer requirements.
• Collaborating with Customer Project Managers to provide technical guidance and configurations during the Service Delivery process for IP network technologies.
• Conducting tests and commissioning new uCPE and Wireless Backup circuits, documenting results and ensuring production environment readiness.
• Recommending improvements to practices and procedures based on field experience and technical expertise in network service delivery.
• Troubleshooting complex IP networking and security issues, employing expert knowledge to resolve problems and optimize network performance.
• Engaging with customers to educate them on service functionalities, enhancing their understanding and satisfaction with provided solutions.
• Analyzing and implementing test and acceptance criteria for network elements, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards.
• Coordinating with Engineering and Product Development teams to assess technical requirements, support operations, and contribute to product evolution.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
